Snack Time Tip!

Sep 8, 2011

First of all, wasn’t it nice of Pepperidge Farm to make “Space Adventure” Goldfish crackers that match my theme?  I thought so, too!  I have only seen them at Target, and sent the hubs out to buy 6 bags of them.

I don’t do a regular snack time during the year, but I do the first week of school … just until their tummies get back on a regular schedule. I will also serve periodic treats throughout the year, and I find that good ol’ paper cupcake liners do the trick.  They are way cheaper than paper plates or cups, and portion out a small snack nicely. I got a pack of 500 at Smart & Final for $5.69. They are great for cereal (Graphing Fruit Loops, anyone?) crackers, or  marshmallows. I think the fancy presentation makes the kids think they are getting more, too.  Hee! Hee! I also use them on a rare occasion when I sneak in a craft-ish project with small parts like google eyes. They are also always on my donation list, and even with my population I find that parents are willing to spend a buck at the dollar store for these, which is nice.  Hope everyone is having a great week!  Happy snacking!
