We have been learning all about Martin Luther King Jr. this week with a lot of fun activities. One of the class favorites was comparing brown eggs and white eggs. We observed the outsides of the eggs and and how they looked different. Once cracked open, the children were amazed that the eggs were identical on the inside. This generated great discussion about diversity.
Since we have been working on informational text features, we also created timeline booklets. They contain photos and lines for the students to write captions. It became a two-for-one bonus activity!
We are going to put them into our interactive notebooks. They turned out so cute! Click on the picture to download this freebie!
Happy writing!
